Join Athens Sunrise Rotary Club at Lake Snowden for a day out on the water during their annual Paddle for PolioPlus Poker Run on Sunday, August 19.

So, how does the Poker Run work? Each participant is given five (5) cards and they’re kept on dry land for safe keeping. As you paddle around the stations, you'll have opportunities to improve your hand. Once everyone completes the stations & returns to land, you'll then hear who held the winning hands. Alternatively, people can sign-up for a trail walk/run and stay on dry land to complete the activities just the same.

The Poker Run is to raise awareness and donations, and all proceeds from the event will go directly to getting vaccines for children. For every dollar raised, 18 kids can live a life free from Polio.
