Athens Community Arts & Music Festival

Enjoy a weekend-long celebration of the arts in Athens, brought to you by Hocking College School of Music! We’re celebrating on Union St. from 12PM to 9PM featuring an exciting line-up of local and regional music, as well as art, poetry, and dance on the main stage. Live music will be available as Casa, Donkey Coffee, Jackie O’s, and The Union. Featured bands include Large Mouth Brass Band, No Plastic Flowers, Coal Cave Hollow Boys, County Pharaohs, Slugg, Weird Science, Mobile Home, Red Lake, Slagpile, Caitlin Kraus, Slackluster, Peach Fuzz, Bret Anderson, Steve Zarate, Tail Winds, and many more!

There will also be food vendors, including Holy Guacamole, Dr. May's Thai Kitchen, and Cajun Clucker.

Members of the Athens Art Guild will line the streets to sell their artwork and local non-profit arts organizations will be offering activities. Our friends at Stuart’s Opera House will be running the beer garden featuring Jackie O’s beer!

Proceeds from the evening performances will benefit Stuart’s Afterschool Music Program and The Gathering Place!

Friday, August 17 • "Me and Mine" — By Athens Photo Project Youth Wheat Paste/ Photo Exhibit
5:30 - 7:30 PM | The Athens Parking Garage
Description Enjoy live music from Large Mouth Brass Band and some food from vendor Holy Guacamole. At 9PM, the music will move indoors to 3 different stages at Casa Cantina, Donkey Coffee and The Union. Featuring sets include The County Pharaohs, Acrylic Grooves, Slugg, Tailwinds, Red Lake, Caution Step, and more!
