Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Communication, office management, business, or related field).
At least 3 years of progressive office experience required; office management experience preferred.
Experience in higher education is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through in order to achieve goals.
The ability to anticipate needs and proactively address them, to learn quickly, and to reliably complete work in a timely manner to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle high volume workloads and juggle priorities and deadlines.
Maintain a neat, well organized work space which projects a high level of professionalism for interactions with all students and visitors to Hocking College.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem solving skills, along with the ability to take initiative and make decisions.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Demonstrated customer service, organization, leadership, planning, and conflict management.
A good command of Microsoft Office application software, and the ability to learn new computer applications.
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to establish positive public relations and to interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
The ability to establish and maintain collaborative, effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty, supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
The ability to write reports and recommendations.
