Function To provide support to the Heavy Equipment Program by assisting the Staff & Faculty with their job duties. Student employees are required to wear their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in/around equipment. Must be punctual & dependable.

  • Cleaning tools/equipment & ensuring proper storage
  • Emptying trash containers
  • Properly disposing of waste oil
  • Placing used shop rags into proper containers
  • Proper/Safe use of hand and power tools
  • Safe shop practices
  • Use of computer, telephone, & other office related equipment
  • Experience with parts & repair manuals
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment & automotive maintenance/repair
  • Use of fire extinguisher, oxy-acetylene torch, & welder
